PROJECTS FOR 2020-21
2020 Moore Holiday
Basket Program
For more then 25 years, Marion C. Moore School has been providing holiday baskets for families in need throughout the community, as part of our annual services project known as, "Mustangs Care for the Holidays", also known by alumni as the "Hoilday Basket Program". This project involves the entire student body and staff donating money, canned goods, and resources to assist some of our families so they can have a joyous holiday season.
As in past years, (last year we served 150 families), we will be providing baskets to a limited number of our families. Each basket will consist of a turkey or a ham, canned goods, fruit, and any other trimmings to help a family have a joyous holiday meal.
This year Moore would like to serve 175 to 200 families.
Many of you remember this program when you were students at Moore. Some of you may have even been served by this program. As alumni, with more means then we had as students, we can assist current Mustangs and their families in having better Holidays. The alumni association would like to present a huge check to assist in the Basket Program. We will also be collecting can goods for the can drive. To donate click one of the donation buttons below. If you would like to give cans to the can drive please email us at moorealum@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off.

The idea with this project is to put banners or signs in the Highview area to claim Highview as Mustang Country!. A few places possible banners/signs would go.
- Coming off the Gene Snyder going up Buelah Church Rd.
- Coming off the Gene Snyder going up Smyrna Rd.
- Coming down Outer Loop past the car wash beside the existing Highview sign.
- Coming down Fegenbush ln. near Fern Valley, Hurstbourne by the existing Highview sign

Lobby Ceiling Tiles
The lobby ceiling tiles have been found. If you were at Moore during the early 80's through about 2006 you seen the painted tiles hanging in the center of the lobby. I remember the Porky tile, the John Lennon tile, Dallas Cowboys tile, Journey tile, and many others. They were taken down sometime between 2003-2006 when the library was renovated and the dome type lobby was closed in. The tiles were in storage for years and have finally been located. Our plan is to preserve this awesome history by perhaps hanging them on the bare walls of the lobby.

8/19/16 - Gene Carroll Field Re-Dedication
|
Alumni Nick and Chip Carroll made the trip up from Florida to join in the re-dedication of Gene Carroll Field. Around 80 alumni showed up and made the walk to mid-field as Nick and Chip unveiled the banner on the press-box declaring, once again, Gene Carroll Field. Check our Facebook page for more photos.

COMPLETED!!
Alumni and Moore fans and family,
Please join us on Friday August 19th as we Re-Dedicate the Moore Football Field To Gene Carroll. Years ago the field was named Gene Carroll Field. The sign somehow dissappeared and the some of the history with it. With the recent passing of Mr. Carroll this was brought to our attention and needs to be made right! It will be made right on Friday August 19th.
Chip Carroll has stated that his dad would have loved to cover the field with all the students and athletes who were touched by Mr. Carroll. We hope you can make it to this wonderful event to celebrate the re-dedication and the wonderful Gene Carroll!
At halftime of the Moore football game we will gather former students, athletes, friends, and family of Gene Carroll in the end Zone and cover the field as we unveil the new Gene Carroll Field sign and honor Mr. Carroll.

WEIGHT ROOM
Donate to this project

The weight room has been completed!!! Well it's never done. It can always be better ;) A combination of school funding and many donations from alumni helped finish the weight room in the fall of 2017. Alumni can still donate specifically to the weight room if you choose. Several alumni have recently donated money to add more equipment. Contact Coach Mike Thomas if you would like to come by and check it out sometime.
